Yup. My entire life I have dreamt of visiting this fictional sprawling metropolis - home to the millions of romantic comedies I spend hours watching - When Harry Met Sally, Serendipity, You Got Mail�.Yes, my taste in movies may leave a lot to be desired but my next holiday does not.
In eight weeks Mr D and I will celebrate our first wedding anniversary in New York.
On 29th November 2004, a year to the day since we said �I do� we will be skating in Central Park. It�s what I wanted to do since forever, my first wedding anniversary making a damn-crazee-fool out of myself by falling on my arse on the rink in Central Park. And now we�re gonna do it! Thank god for credit cards and having no kids as yet!
So, I don�t know if any of you people out there in the wide expanse live in New York but if you do now is the time to make yourselves heard. Where shall we go? What shall we do? Where�s romantic? Where do we not go lest we get murdered? Where should we eat? What should we not leave without doing? How much do yellow cabs cost? What on earth is a �block�? Where should I buy bagels? Where�s good for a cocktail? Where�s that toy store from Big? Is the big piano still there? And other such infinitely important questions.
